I’m kind of late, because I’ve been enjoying my day with the girls…It’s Tessa’s birthday today!  She is ONE!  WHAT?!  I’ll post tomorrow.  She’s just so dang cute.

Brittany came up with this idea DIY Fruit pizzas.  Then the fruit was in the Flag platter.

Later, I was reminded it was, “LAND of the free, HOME of the brave.”  Well, at least it looks cool.  🙂

  • Fresh Eggs sign FINISHED!
  • Put together and had a BLAST for putting on the girls’ birthday party!

  • Get my shots for traveling.
  • Get invites out for the girls joint birthday party.
  • Make some major decisions for the future….some major praying involved.
  • Pack for Guatemala.

This Week in Review #26 — Prep Week

Memorize:

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.”  1st Timothy 4:12  <– Making sure my kids get empowered…

Highlights:

  • Tessa LOVES the pool!  True water bug.  She was more adventurous than Ruthie!
  • We took the girls to Heritage Days, the town festival, in Princeville.  Tessa people-watched to her heart’s content & Ruthie rode rides.  Her smile was priceless.

Goals Accomplished:

  • I got the girls’ passports!!!  (How long as that been on my list??)
  • Packed and prepped for Super Summer!

Goals For this Week:

  • Get my shots for traveling.
  • Get invites out for the girls joint birthday party.
  • Box up small clothes and put the clothing sizes they are currently wearing in their drawers.
  • Make my “Fresh Egg” sign  Save for next week….

My Favorite Post This Week: Unleash the Power to Lighten Up  It was a hard one to write, but so glad I did.

I am out this week as a Team Leader for Super Summer, which is a “training and learning experience for the students in your youth group who have already committed their lives to Christ and who are seeking fresh ways to develop their fullest potential as Christian leaders.” (SITE)  I’m working with Sophomores this week.  Pray for me… 🙂  I’m not promising post.  But I DO promise a week in review next weekend!

HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK!  Mine is about to commence…after I sleep.  Good Night. zzz

 

#Currently

Wanted to take my first stab at a #Currently post.  I thought it would take the place of my “Truthful Tuesday,” but then it was Wednesday, and sweet heavens, don’t look at the time stamp of this post, but most will be reading this Thursday or Friday.  So just go with me…

Working On | getting my High Schoolers ready for summer.  I do that all day at school and then, when I get home at night, I email myself with reminders and jump on my phone. When I leave my office for the summer, all my big kids HAVE TO BE ready for camps and trips and Lord, have mercy on me and my time!

Reading | “The Best Yes,” by Lysa TerKeurst.  I picked it up at the Hearts at Home Conference this last year, and I’ve decided Lysa and I are the same person just a 1/2 a generation apart.  She’s not old!!  I’m not saying that…but if I were to have kids in college, or if she were to have babes all over again…we’d be kin.  The book (which I’m sure I’ll have to read twice) talks about making wise decisions when there’s such a demand for our time as Christian women.  Super good.  Topic seems pretty basic, but MAN she nails some points close to home.

Listening |  The sweet girggles of Tessa Bear.  The monitor is close.  It’s crazy how something as little as hearing my kids breathing makes this momma so calm.

Making |  a sign that says, “FRESH EGGS.”  We just finished our chicken coop that is next to our shed.  It seems only fitting. *found this one on Pinterest*

Feeling | EXHAUSTED.  I am absolutely determined to finish EVERYTHING before school is finished for me.  Last Wednesday, I went in after I put the girls to bed and worked from 8p-12:30a.  Today, I was there by 6:50a.  I need a few more days!  PLUS church softball season began last week PLUS I started my summer waitressing jobs on Wednesday nights.  Once school is out for me (the kids are done tomorrow), all will be good again.

Planning | a weekend getaway.  My husband is semi planning a weekend trip to STL for our anniversary.  I’m deciding where we eat and what we do.  I’m thinking…The Spaghetti Factory, The Zoo, Anheuser Busch Factory, The Museum…the options are endless!

Loving | Tessa’s stank leg!  She has become a crawling mastermind, but she has a unique style.  She keeps her right leg straight out and crawls on her left basically pushing off with her “stank” leg.  Funny to watch!  *warning: phone video*
