Welcome back to a part of my Truthful Tuesday series…
This is a JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE!
I created Truthful Tuesday as a safe place for you to get those not-so-proud moments off your chest…to clear the cob webs, and to admit that though my blog may look perfect, I’m a big hot mess sometimes.
I am in the middle of redoing/creating a office for myself. I found all my old journals from WAY back. When Ruthie finds these when she’s older, she’s going to say, “Well, why didn’t you just blog, Mom?!” and I get to say, “Well, Ruthie, I wrote all these before blogging was invented…”
VINTAGE BLOGGING at it’s finest… (really, this is just an old-school way of saying Journaling…)
Let’s just give you a little excerpt, shall we…
January 10, 1999 (I would have been 13)
Dear Journal,
It is getting colder by the second. Brittany went to Chicago so, of course, she took my N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, & my Savage Garden CDs after I told her NOT to take them. Then, since I’m on my “crimson tide” she took all the Advil. And THEN, when I got into the car, she took the CD/cassette tape adaptor. I am SO P.O.ed at her. Then, I found out she get’s to stay up later?? Stupid thing is she gets up earlier! Wouldn’t you want more sleep?
The other devistating thing is I forgot my curling iron at Lauren’s house. I heard Ben on the phone today for the first time. He does sound like his dad! It’s spookie! Talk to you again soon (after I hurt my sister!)

Um…2 things…maybe three..
- N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, Savage Garden…OH, MY!
- Who really EVER said crimson tide (besides Alabama fans?!)
- Ben Fuelberth, I am sorry for any pain and suffering I caused you in middle school & high school.
And for the record, my sister is still alive. 🙂 Love you, sis!
Let’s just glance at my 13 year old self, shall we…
Yeah. That’s enough for one Tuesday.
