I’m 29. Yes…I said it, and no, I don’t think I’m OLD…but, I like to think that I maintain a little bit of a cool factor from helping out with the youth group, working at a high school and working with high schoolers at work. But this week, I was reminded over and OVER that I am getting old…

ONE | The Lingo…
So, I keep a fun job to keep my sanity at this sweet café, called Cyd’s every Wednesday night. There are some high schoolers that I work with and this last week, I said, “Man, I’m exhausted! I just want to go home and go to bed!” then on of the girls said, “Ohhh, RETWEET!” Translation: Me too.
RETWEET??!?! WHAT? Omg, I couldn’t keep it together. I laughed the REST of the night.
TWO | My Freshman
I’ve been getting all my high schoolers ready for their sports seasons…I’m entering their physicals…they were all born in 2000 & 2001… Bah.
THREE | Movies
These movies came out the year that I was born…yeah…on VHS….mmm hmm

FOUR | Bedtime
After the girls are down around 8pm, I am down shortly after…unless I’m blogging or working… It’s sooo dreamy!
FIVE | Saved by the Bell
This wasn’t this week, but I think about it all the time because it wounded my aged heart…
*listening to “I’m So Excited” on the radio…*
L: Classic Jessie! “I’m So….sooo…soo SCARED!”
N: (strange look) what? What are you talking about..
L: Saved by the Bell, ya know when Jessie was poppin’ pills!
N: Is that the one with the nerdy suspenders kid..
L: (heart starting to break) STEVE URKLE?! Family Matters!!!
N: So…no?
L: Babe, I’m not sure our marriage is going to work… (obviously kidding)
We discovered Nathan NEVER watched Saved by the Bell…He is only 16 months younger than me..who knew that would make such a difference!!
Nathan’s explanation: “I was out playing on the farm in the country, while you were watching cable in the city. It wasn’t on one of the three stations we had…and that was when the weather was good.”
Now excuse me while I go get my scrunchie and go to bed!
