Dear Lindsay,

This week/weekend has been a doozy. I’m sure I’ll write about it more this week. But this weekend was a bunch of relaxing and spending time with my girls. We finished this evening with a broken furnace and a 60 degree house. Please excuse me while I go get the heating blanket on the bed…
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by name, you are mine. — Isaiah 43:1

Today was all about Potty Training with Ruthie!
I bought her a brand new pack of princess underwear last night. She loved them and was ALL about it. I told her that if she didn’t wet her pants, we would go to the playground..
“And play on the yellow and green syide? With my bouncy ball?”
“Absolutely!”
The morning started off GREAT! This COLD TURKEY thing was working out better than I thought. We woke up, took off her diaper and put on the 1st pair. She got to wear her superhero shirt (with a cape) and her bootiful undi-wear.
“Mommy, I a big girl!” She did have one minor accident, but I was so proud of her! After every success, we had to call and tell someone. First it was Daddy, then Nana, then Gigi.
After nap time, it was time to celebrate. We went up to Casey’s and got her favorite chicken bites. Then, before Daddy’s football game, we headed to the “yellow & green syide.”
Everyone was HAPPY! Let’s go watch Daddy’s football game…*picture happy little girls running!* We stopped by the car and took a pit stop at the potty seat in the trunk just in case….
“I all done, Mommy.”
“Are you sure? If you go potty in your pants, we will go home.”
“Otay. I done.”
We have a spot on the far side of the stands where no one is. I watch while they run and everyone’s happy. Then…
“Mommy. I gotta go potty.”
*Everything goes from ZERO to 60* “Ok, I have your coat! Let’s go.” She turns to run up the bleachers and I see it…
I hang my head…she wet her pants. When we got back to the car, she said she still needed to go. I snapped these during our serious conversation of what she did.
Top Left: “Mommy, I just read this book.”
Top Right: “Mommy, i go potty in my pants.”
Bottom Left: “No, I not ready to go to bed!”
Bottom Right: *Maybe if I talk about anything else, she’ll forget what she said and we can watch Frozen when we get home.*
Here’s to day two! I don’t think it will take too much longer…but it will DEFINITELY be entertaining!
Now, excuse me while I watch all the underwear for day two.
