I know I’ve been hiatus for so long, and then I come back and write about this…but you have to understand! My mind has
been blown! I’m still trying to pick up the pieces. I am also in the middle of my “How Christmas Break went.” (Hint: We’ve been sick since December 24…)
None the less, get ready to get blown away! Ok. Are you sitting down?
Sit. Please.
So, some of us are sick and I saw oranges on sale at the store today. Got some! Easy. But then…Drum Roll……
I found these…
*note: i turned so you wouldn’t see my aweful nails.*
Normal looking right? It’s like a Cutie! No! It’s not!
Pardon me a sec while a peel…
Peeling…
Peeling…
Is this how your oranges look when you peel? *Brain filling*
I think not!
WHAT?! Is that red? Are you telling me…
No!
ANNNDDDD Poof!!! Mind Blown.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Lindsay, come on! You of all people and eater of exotic cuisine and unappealing vegetation (artichoke) should know that’s a blood orange.”
Oh, sweet considerate and oh so polite friend…that is not a blood orange.
Well..maybe it is a blood orange, because it says that on the label but it’s different! It’s like berry kind of…unlike
any blood orange I have ever had.
And another mind blowing question…there are seeds in these oranges. If I were to plant them, would I get more of these oranges or just regular ones?
PS. They are really good. Sweet. Can’t get Ruthie to even think about eating one. So looks like I’ll be loading up on my vitamin C.
PPS…I just googled Moro Blood Oranges and apparently the have a semi resemblance of raspberry in their flavor, so they may not be mind blowing to anyone else….so..yea. Well, at least I’m having fun. 🙂
