*I started Truthful Tuesday as a SAFE ZONE for being real with myself.

Repeat after me: I AM NOT PERFECT.  I’LL NEVER BE. BUT, MY KIDS ARE HAPPY AND GOD AND MY HUSBAND STILL LOVE ME.

I also have begun linking up with a few other awesome ladies who do the BEAUTIFUL MESS series on Mondays, so I’m a day late, but I love what they write AND if fits perfectly with theme!

Beautiful Mess: Awkward & Awesome

Awkward:  Sunday naps…everyone was out…I had just under 2 hours to sleep and it was perfect hammock weather.  I was almost out when I heard someone walking by…then slow down…Do I pop my head out?  Do I pretend like I’m still sleeping?  I peered my eyes above the edge of the hammock…there’s one of my neighbors…just staring.  Holy Awkward.

Awesome: Ruthie turned 3 on Sunday.  Three.  We threw her and Tess a joint party back in July, but I wanted to still kind of make the day special.  We went to McDonald’s for lunch…her fav, then after nap time, I had the inflatable pool full and the water table full.  I planned hot dogs and mac and cheese and I told a few people if they were bored, they were welcome.  We had a mini redneck pool party and Ruthie has a BLAST!
A few awesome things she said:

• “Mom, no yell at me!  You be nice to me on my birfday.”
• “Mom, make sure my friends coming over?”
• “It’s my birfday, I not eat my hot dog, just Ruffie Cheese [Parmesan cheese]”

Awkward: I’m helping students get all their paperwork in to start sports practices on Wednesday and school next week…I try to be funny with the freshman, but they are sooo freaked out and nervous…there’s this awkward half laugh…I laugh out loud usually because of how awkward it is. 🙂

Awesome:  It’s not Monday for a whole week.  🙂

Awkward: I have an addiction to cucumber water when I’m at work…I feel like I’m always in the bathroom.

Awesome: I, as of just recently, have come up with a whole bunch of ideas and designs for greeting cards/stationary, home goods, prints/canvas, etc.  What do you think about me opening up shop with stuff like that?  Is there a market for that?
