Dear Lindsay,
With your massively exciting news that you are the small business owner of Country Feed & Supplies…I can’t help but notice that you are growing every closer to becoming The Pioneer Woman! But the better, more Lindsay version. I can’t wait to hear all about your adventures in settling into the new job – all the mishaps and happy surprises. I know you are going to be so good at it…your passion and friendliness will keep old customers and draw in new ones!
When you wrote last week that it was hotter in Peoria than in Athens, I almost spewed the water I was guzzling. At the time it was in the upper 90s and I spent every day trying to sneakily wipe away the sweat dripping down my face whenever I entered a room. But…it started raining two days ago, and it made the temperature fall to an easy, breezy 70 degrees!! So maybe now you have it worse. 🙁
You know, actually, tomorrow all us HD women are going to the beach! I have no idea if we’ll actually swim, because 70 degrees, while AMAZING, is not beach weather. But I think it’ll be really nice to eat souvlaki on the beach, maybe go for a walk, maybe play a game (“A” screamed “RACQUETS!!!” when discussing our beach day, which I think is like a tennis/badminton game?).
I just realized that the whole process of going to the beach is kind of unusual, so I will describe it! We’re going to the beach that is within walking distance of Dina’s house. So I’m going to get up at 9:00, and I’ll start the fifteen minute walk from my house to the main road at 10:00. There’s a KTEL bus that goes from the city center to Rafina every 45 minutes. I checked their website, which only tells you when the bus leaves the city center, which is at 10:15. I THINK that means it’ll pass my area around 10:30, but if I’m wrong, I’ll have to wait upwards of 45 minutes for the next one. Once I get on the bus, after paying, I’ll try to time things correctly so that when we pass through Pikermi, I can call Dina. That gives her about ten minutes to drive from her house to Rafina to pick me up. THEN we’ll go to the beach.
Was that interesting? Boring? I dunno, but I’m definitely listening to a lot more podcasts than ever before, because a huge amount of my time is spent walking places and waiting for/on public transit.
I can’t wait to hear about your small business adventures!!
Love,
Tricia
P.S. You do not have an unknown OR purposefully forgotten punishment…unless you have purposefully made ME forget!?
