MERRY CHRISTMAS from the Wineingers! (am I late?)
I woke up in the middle of the night the other night, and almost sat up in bed (but I didn’t because that’s too much effort) and realized that in the Christmas letter I sent out before Christmas (which was a HUGE mom success!) I said, “I’ll be posting the ‘Best of 2015’ and the letter and photos on my blog…” and I never did. Sooo… weeks, later… Here it is.
Man! Glad that’s done! I have been Christmas vacationing from EVERYTHING! Even blogging. Not so happy about that, but I’m totally enjoying the extra time with the girls and being lazy and not showering everyday! It’s incredible. I told myself the only goal I was going to make for this Christmas break was to NOT MAKE ANY GOALS! Then, I couldn’t fail! I’m doing great at it, really.
Christmas was awesome. This was the first year Santa came to our house. We made a batch of cookies, and we didn’t have carrots so we set out grapes and a glass of milk. Then, since we don’t have a chimney, we have a “SANTA KEY” we hang on our front door to let him in. Then, he left it for us on his empty plate of cookies of course for next year.
Here were our winning presents this year:
Ruthie: She had two! Her Build-a-Bear from Nana (Here’s the video) & Gigi’s MagiClip Princesses
Tessa: Hands down…the Chocolate. Whatever she was doing, as long as she had chocolate in her mouth, she was good.
Nathan: (no picture) He bought himself a waterproof duck hunting coat. He loves it. That’s all that matters.
Me: The Pioneer Woman Cookbook: Dinnertime. I’m telling you, if we met, we would be inseparable. Can you laugh reading a cookbook? Yes. Yes you can. (PS Like the floor in the background? Winning!)
We are semi-hunkered down. We had really bad ice with this storm that is DESTROYING the southwest. So, I’m sure I will have time to write again soon. Really want to do the “Best of 2015” but remember, I’m not setting goals! So don’t be disappointed!
